Residential building includes not only new builds, but also additions, alterations, and repairs, as well as moving or removing residential structures or portions of structures. All platforms, walks and decks over 30 inches above grade also require a building permit.
Specific zoning requirements may be associated with the location, height, and square footage, and set backs depending on the zoning classification of each property. Zoning classifications are designated by ordinance.
The Residential Building Permit Application packet is to be utilized in the aforementioned situations and includes the requirements for residential plan submittal and the inspection services details from SAFEbuilt.
If your subcontractors are listed on the Residential Building Permit Application, they need not complete separate registration forms nor apply for individual permits for their trade. The City of Azle does not require General Contractor registration.
