Summer Reading Kick-Off
Friday, June 7th from 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM
The Library is kicking off Summer Reading for children, teens and adults with a full day for registration. Stop by and register for FREE all day long in the foyer. Everyone who register's on Kick-Off day gets a prize! Plus, free cake and face-painting will be available from 2-4:00 PM (while supplies last). Can't make it? Come by the Library any time we are open, beginning June 7th, to register.
Summer Toddler Tales Storytime
Every Wednesday at 10:00 am - June 12-July 24
Toddler Tales (PDF) is a participatory program for parents/caregivers and children ages 18-36 months. We will enjoy books, songs, finger plays, felt board stories and crafts reflecting a weekly theme. (Please note a special Fireman themed Storytime will take place on June 19 and only one storytime will take place at 10 am for any storytime aged child)
Summer Preschool Storytime
Every Wednesday at 10:45 am - June 12-July 24
Preschool Storytime (PDF) is a participatory program for both parent/caregiver and child, with the 3-6 year old child in mind. We will enjoy books, songs, finger plays, felt board stories and crafts reflecting a weekly theme. (Please note a special Fireman themed Storytime will take place on June 19 and only one storytime will take place at 10 am for any storytime aged child)
Non-Fiction Addiction Book Club
First Thursday of every month at 6:00 PM
The Library is excited to announce the beginning of a new non-fiction book club for adults! Join us for lively discussion and get to know fellow readers. Meets in the Library Community Room.

Family Film Friday
First Friday of each month at 4:00 PM (Plus Each Friday in June/July)
Join us each month for a family friendly movie in the Library Community Room. Fresh popcorn provided free of charge. All ages welcome, but children under 8 and under must have a parent or adult guardian with them at all times. Sponsored by the Azle Library Trust.

Second Tuesday of every month at 4:30 pm
Discover your inner artist! We will explore all types of art and you can take your creations home! Perfect for Ages 5 and up. All materials will be supplied. For more information, see our Flyer or call the Library.
READ to a Dog
Second Saturday of every month from 2-3:30 pm
Children of all ages will be able to read to a certified therapy dog in order to improve their reading skills. Takes place in the Library Community Room. Come-and-go.
Second Monday of every other month (plus December) at 4:30 pm
Learn cooking techniques, discover new recipes, and sample tasty foods at this monthly program held in the Community Room. This program is aimed towards adults, but teenage cooks are also welcome!

Main Street Book Club

Brick it Up! LEGO Club

Summer Teen Movie
Thursday, June 20th at 2:00 pm
Teens ages 13-18 are invited to watch Captain Marvel (PG-13) in the Library Community Room! Free popcorn will be served. (Parents are welcome to accompany their teens to the movie, but no children under 13 will be permitted. A parent or guardian, aged 18+, must remain in the Library building at all times for anyone aged 13, and are encouraged to remain in the building for for anyone aged 14 and up.)
Book Buzz for Adults

Want to learn the "buzz" about the best books being released this summer? COme get the inside scoop as we dish about the latest fiction and nonfiction books for adults. Plus, enjoy and ice cream sundae bar AND possibly take home a door prize! Adults only, please.
Teen Craft Night
Thursday, July 25th at 6:30 pm
The Library will provide all the supplies and instructions for teens ages 13-18 to make an awesome art project! Children under 13 will not be permitted, but parents are welcome to remain in the room while their teens complete the art project. NASA Ambassador Lecture
Thursday, July 18th at 6:00 pm
Adults are invited to come hear a NASA Ambassador speak about the solar system, galaxy and constellations. Please bring a star chart if you own one, or the Library can provide one for you. Takes place in the Library Community Room.
THHSC Program Sign-Up Assistance
Second Tuesday of every month from 1:00 to 4:00 pm in the Library foyer
A Benefit consultant will be available to help families sign up for SNAP/Food Stamps, CHIP, Children's Medicaid, TANF, and any other Texas Health and Human Services Commission program . Questions? Contact the Library at 817-444-7216 and ask to speak to the Children's Services Librarian.
