Daylight Savings Time - March 14
Azle Fire Dept would like to remind you; when you move your clocks forward on March 14, don’t forget to test your smoke alarm and change the batteries.

The Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery® program, organized by Energizer, urges Americans to change the batteries in smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors when changing their clocks for Daylight Savings each Spring and Fall.

The Change Your Clock, Change Your Battery® program continues to focus efforts on senior citizens and families with children. Senior citizens and children are at twice the risk of dying in a home fire. Sadly, approximately 1,000 children under the age of 10 die each year in house fires-an average of nearly three per day.

For a complete list of tips for preparing for storms and important home fire safety tips, visit Energizer's Keep Safe. Keep Going(R) website.

Junior Golf Camp allows young players to learn important aspects of the sport through fun games, peer interaction and other techniques. Golf is the game of a lifetime and the sooner children are able to start, the longer they can enjoy it!

Participants are broken into groups based on age and skill level and given instruction tailored to their needs. Instructor to student ratio is 8-to-1 or less. Groups rotate through different instruction stations each day.

Each participant will get a logo golf cap at registration. There will be contests each day with recognition and prizes for the participants.

All instruction will be supervised by Matthew Jones, PGA Member and General Manager of Cross Timbers Golf Course. Matthew has over ten years experience in golf instruction and has successfully conducted dozens of junior golf camps.

In the event of inclement weather, camp will be conducted indoors to the best extent possible, including presentation of golf instructional video.

Summer Junior Play Days
In addition to Junior Golf Camp, Cross Timbers also offers Junior Play Days during the summer.

Junior Play Days are up to nine (9) holes of supervised play, depending on age and ability. This is a great opportunity for beginners to get on the course. Cost is $15 per player. Please call in advance to sign up.
